Rosso Corsa over Black Leather, 2.9L V8 Engine, 5-Speed Manual Gearbox, Bosch K-Jetronic Mechanical Fuel Injection, 1 of 1,743 GTSi Examples Produced, 42,200 miles, Superb Throughout.
The 1982 Ferrari 308 GTSi is significant as one of the final and most refined versions of the 308 series before the introduction of the Quattrovalvole models. It is powered by a 2.9L mechanical fuel injected V8 producing approximately 214 horsepower, paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Fuel injection offered improved cold starts, drivability, and long-term reliability compared to earlier carbureted cars. The GTSi combines the mid-engine V8 layout with a removable targa roof, a configuration that defined Ferrari’s late-1970’s and early-1980’s road cars. Ferrari produced approximately 1,743 examples of the 308 GTSi between 1980 and 1983, making it a low-production model and an increasingly collectible, analog Ferrari that remains an excellent choice for any collection.
This US production 1982 Ferrari 308GTSi has remained under current ownership since its acquisition in 1988. Upon purchase, it was completely restored to as-new condition, undergoing a full repaint in its original Rossa Corsa and engine rebuild at 33,000 miles by early Ferrari dealer FAF Motorcars. It has remained as a cherished member of the family ever since. Both the exterior and interior present wonderfully. The Ferrari is used sparingly, driven to car shows and other events to be shown and enjoyed. The sale of this 308GTSi is accompanied by its books, tools, keys, and history file.
