Ruby Red over Beige Leather, 3.0L Inline-Six Cylinder Engine, 4-Speed Manual Gearbox, Exceptional Cosmetic Restoration, US Market Model for 1976-1977, Only 69,000 Miles.
The 630 CSI is a US market model offered for 1976 and 1977 with only 928 manual gearbox units produced (making it the rarest E24 US 6 series). This 630 CSi is powered by BMW’s venerable M30 inline-six cylinder engine paired with a factory 4-speed manual gearbox, offering a truly analog driving experience. Originally finished in Sienna Beige, the car has been professionally refinished by marque professionals to a very high standard in period-correct Ruby Red Metallic, which pairs wonderfully with its beige leather interior.
This is a lifelong southwestern car that is rust and accident free which has undergone a complete cosmetic restoration to a very high standard. Executed with tremendous attention to detail, hundreds of hours of passionate labor, complete disassembly including engine removal and many “NOS” parts that are no longer available. It retains an original interior in excellent condition for age and mileage. An extensive mechanical refresh has been performed as well (can provide details upon request). This E24 has been driven less than 150 miles since completion in 2016. This is a remarkable example of an early Karmann body E24 which are among the rarest and among the most desirable BMW coupes. They offer a charm and a unique driving experience that the E9 and later E24 models do not have.
Conceived by renowned automobile designer Paul Bracq, the iconic E24 6 Series represents the genesis of BMW’s grand touring lineage and truly captures the essence of quintessential BMW engineering and mantra “The Ultimate Driving Machine.” We are proud to offer this 1977 BMW 630 CSi for sale to new collector ownership where it can be shown, used and enjoyed as intended. The sale of this E24 will be accompanied by its owner's manual, partial records, 3 keys (including 2 master lighted ones NLA), original data card, factory repair manual, a giclee print and a complete tool kit.
