Built to period-correct historic racing and rally specifications, this 1966 Porsche 911 2.0 is a purpose-built short-wheelbase competition car that delivers an authentic vintage driving experience. Completely rebuilt by a respected Swedish rally specialist in 2009, it combines lightweight construction with sharp handling and proven performance.
Finished in Aga Blue with iconic Martini livery, the car captures the unmistakable character of Porsche’s competition heritage. It was previously issued FIA Historic Technical Passport (HTP) No. 547 (now expired) and was constructed with an emphasis on durability, responsiveness, and historical authenticity.
Power comes from a correctly prepared 2.0-liter aluminum flat-six featuring Weber carburetors, RSR-spec camshafts, high-compression pistons, ported cylinder heads, a competition exhaust system, and CDI ignition. A dedicated rally oil cooler helps maintain operating temperatures, while a Type 901 five-speed manual gearbox and sintered clutch deliver power efficiently to the road through Yokohama semi-slick tires.
The chassis has been engineered with competition use in mind, featuring Bilstein racing dampers, upgraded 26 mm rear torsion bars, polyurethane rear suspension bushings, and standard front bushings to provide balanced handling. Ventilated disc brakes with stainless steel braided lines offer confident and consistent stopping power.
Inside, the cabin is purposefully equipped for motorsport with Sparco bucket seats, six-point racing harnesses, an OMP steering wheel, a full roll cage, lightweight plastic windows, and an ATL fuel cell with a hood-mounted filler. A period Halda Tripmaster serves as a fitting reminder of the car’s historic rally inspiration.
Lightweight, engaging, and built to be driven, this short-wheelbase 911 is equally suited for vintage rallies, track events, historic motorsport, or continued development for series such as the 2.0L Cup.
