Originally delivered by Ferrari of Houston in 1990, this 1990 Ferrari 348 TS began life as a standard road car before being converted into a factory-supported Ferrari Challenge car. The Challenge conversion was performed in 1994 by Auto Torino Ltd., an authorized Ferrari dealer in Great Neck, New York. The dealer-installed Ferrari Challenge kit included all sanctioned competition upgrades such as a full roll cage, OMP racing seats, fire suppression system, brake cooling ducts, and other race-ready enhancements. The car competed in the 1995 Ferrari Challenge Series, driven by racing driver Richard Behmoiram, and participated in the opening race at Moroso Motorsports Park in Florida.

After its brief racing career, the car passed through several notable marque specialists, including Auto Palace and Symbolic Motor Car Co., appearing in multiple Ferrari Market Letter advertisements during the late 1990’s. In 1999, it was purchased by enthusiast Michael McMillan of Pittsburg, California, who cared for the car meticulously and exhibited it in numerous concours events. The car earned awards at the Cavallino Classic and Concorso Italiano, remaining in McMillan’s collection until his passing in 2016.

In 2017, the car was sold to current ownership, who undertook a comprehensive recommissioning to preserve and enhance its factory Challenge specification. San Francisco Motorsports performed a full 30K major service upon acquisition, followed by the reinstallation of several original Challenge components including brake duct undertrays, fog light covers, OMP harness, and ANSA Challenge muffler. The car was also visually restored to its 1995 racing livery, protected under full paint protection film.

Since then, this Ferrari has received three additional engine-out major services, most recently in April, 2025, and extensive mechanical attention from Ferrari Challenge expert Thomas Passalaqua of P1 Motors in Norwalk, CT. Notable recent upgrades include new-old-stock engine harnesses, updated coil packs, sensors, and refinements ensuring reliability for both street and track use. The car has been shown twice at The Bridge in Bridgehampton, NY and earned a class win at the Greenwich Concours d’Elegance.

This 348 Challenge comes with two complete sets of white Speedline wheels (street and track), original leather seats, concours awards, Challenge documentation, and memorabilia. It represents one of the rarest and best-documented examples of the early Ferrari Challenge cars — preserved and presented with integrity, authenticity, and attention to detail.
