Making its debut at the 1964 Paris Auto Show, the Ferrari 275 GTB is widely considered to be one of the marque’s finest road cars ever produced and is desired by collectors, enthusiasts, and drivers alike. It features a 3.3L V12 engine and was Ferrari’s first road car to be fitted with a transaxle and independent rear suspension. Its 3.3L 60° V12, derived from Ferrari’s motorsport-proven 1.5L Colombo V12 Engine, produced 280 horsepower in its standard triple Weber carburetor configuration and 300 horsepower with its optional Weber 40DCN3 six carburetor setup. The 275 GTB/6C on offer is an extremely rare and well-documented factory six carburetor example. Factory-optioned 6C variants comprise a relatively small percentage of all 442 Ferrari 275 GTB road cars produced.

This particular 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB/6C has lived a charmed life, delivered to its first owner in Italy in 1966 and was imported to Philadelphia, PA shortly thereafter in 1968. It was passed along to new ownership in the 1970’s, an IBM computer engineer. It was sold to its next caretaker in the early 1980’s after making its way to the West Coast. Following their ownership, it was acquired in 1998 under current Ferrari collector ownership where it has remained for the past 27 years. Upon acquisition, a comprehensive concours-level cosmetic and mechanical restoration was commissioned at the hands of competent and renowned marque specialists without any regard to cost. It was finished in lacquer paint in Rosso Corsa by Junior's House of Color while all mechanical work was performed by Mr. Norbert Hofer of Grand Touring Classics. It has proceeded to win multiple awards and has made appearances at some of the world’s most prestigious concours events and road tours-rallies. It is absolutely exceptional in every way and wants for nothing.

As a very rare, late production example, this 275 GTB is a factory long-nose car and has benefited from the much improved torque tube setup, eliminating previous vibration conditions experienced on earlier, short-nose 275’s. This Ferrari is further equipped with Borrani wire wheels with proper Michelin XWX tires, its factory-correct 6.5 inch magnesium spare wheel, and European gauges and lights.

This sale of this Ferrari is accompanied by its original books, keys, tool roll, original build sheets, and extensive documentation. Perhaps the world’s finest 275 GTB/6C, this factory torque-tube, long-nose, 6 carburetor 275 is turnkey and ready for immediate use on the road while equally at home on the concours lawn.
